Postdoctoral Fellow – Recycling Plastic Waste

The Sustainable Materials Research Center (SusMaT-RC) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is recruiting Postdoctoral Fellows to join international research projects under the supervision of Professor Youssef Habibi.

Their research project’s focus is to develop innovative recycling technologies for plastics waste through sustainable physical and/or chemical pathways.

Postdoctoral Research Associate

The postdoctoral researcher will lead a research project on the design of sustainable and selective adsorbents for critical minerals recovery.

The ISC3 (International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre) is an international center of excellence implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH. The ISC3 promotes the transition of the chemical and related sectors to sustainable chemistry. It advocates for a circular economy that considers the diverse aspects of sustainability at every stage of a product's life cycle and leads to behavioral changes among all stakeholders.

Program Manager

The Compostable Field Testing Program (CFTP) is the world’s only open-source research initiative dedicated to understanding how certified compostable products break down in real-world composting conditions. It is an industry collaboration between BSIbio and the Compost Research & Education Foundation (CREF). This unique program partners with composters, municipalities, manufacturers, and researchers across the globe to generate critical field data that informs compost operations, product development, standards, and policy.
