Event Description

This public, in-person workshop explores applications of green chemistry to support a healthier and more sustainable future. Led by Dr. Omar Villanueva of Beyond Benign, the session will highlight how green chemistry principles can be applied to design safer chemicals and materials using more environmentally responsible processes. The workshop will cover key aspects of the chemical life cycle—from design to disposal—and is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, community environmental and health leaders, and other community members. Lunch will be provided, and time will be reserved for discussion and Q&A.
