Summary
In this video, Dr. Loyd Bastin introduces green chemistry and discusses how changing the way we think about chemistry processes can address our most pressing environmental issues. Bastin explains how these environmental issues disproportionally effect communities of color and provides examples that demonstrate the long history of environmental racism. He then explores how green chemistry and sustainable innovations can address environmental racism by reducing pollution and removing the inherent hazards associated with chemical industries.
