Bio

My name is Giovanni Brito, a professional in the area of Chemistry with 12+ years of experience in teaching and research. I have broad experience teaching Chemistry to High School and Undergraduate Students, with special highlights on the sub-areas of General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Laboratory Techniques. Also, I have research-related experiences, mainly in the areas of Organic Chemistry, Chemistry Teaching, and Food Technology.

I have a deep passion for glass apparatuses, chemical reactions, mechanistic arrows, and analytical instruments. Also, I love discussing on the board and reciprocally sharing knowledge with my lab mates and/or curious young minds. Whether working in teams or independently, I possess the technical skills to get a task done, no matter how challenging it is. As a science enthusiast, I am always engaged with new concepts and open to alternative - even the craziest - ideas.

I am currently developing a water treatment method that invokes the holistic use of membranes and surfactants. My project aims at the removal of small organic molecules such as antibiotics and dyes.
