- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Great question, @Kyle Grice, and thanks @John De Backere for pointing out the lack of clear assessments on this! It seems like we have bits and pieces (like atom economy, toxicity, and waste profiles) but not a comprehensive "green ranking" of strong or Lewis acids. Has anyone here come across frameworks or papers that attempt to evaluate acids systematically (maybe using the 12 Principles or GreenScreen)? Or do you have practical experience swapping in "greener" acids in teaching labs or research? Tagging in @Jason Cooke and @Mark R Mason (whom I believe have great research experience on this theme) — curious if you’ve seen resources or examples that could help shed light here....
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Thank you, @Andrew Meador, @Kyle Grice, and @Jason Cooke, for these great points and resources!I really agree on your point, Andrew, transparency in nanoparticle sourcing is still rare, and I think developing a shared checklist of “green synthesis indicators” could help researchers ask the right questions when sourcing materials.Thank you Kyle for referring Jason here. They're work on silver nanoparticles and CQDs is amazing, and I’m excited to see the updated “Sweet and Sour Nanochemistry” version! How about we compile a list of greener synthesis papers, methods, and even supplier criteria here so this thread becomes a go-to resource for benign nanomaterials? Who’s in?...
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Hi @Kyle Grice, I think there's no dedicated forum on the topic you suggested. We would love to have it, and if you need any assistance on our end, we'd love to help you!...
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Wonderful to see you leading in this space @cmwoodbridge! I'm here to tag into the chat and welcome to the group, our past working group colleagues @Dean Campbell , @Kyle Grice @Nicholas Kingsley and @Lucas Tucker. I've linked the resources from our past work together in the repository of this group space and look forward to seeing where you all take this next with the community! ...
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Hi all! I love seeing the action here already. I'm popping in to support the faithful ring-leader, John DeBackere, here and invite our past inorganic working group colleagues (@Stephanie Hurst @Anthony Fernandez @Ryan Trovitch @Kyle Grice @Edward Zovinka ) to the chat & group space we've all been dreaming of with the wider community here on the GCTLC platform! ...
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Wow, this is an interesting work, @Kyle Grice! I learned from my research supervisor that doing organometallic synthesis is challenging due to the inherent reactivity and sensitivity of these compounds which would require specialized lab conditions....
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Congratulations in advance @Kyle Grice on your presentation at the ACS GCE 2025. I also happen to know someone who's working with mechanochemistry, but I'm not sure what kind is he using. Hey @Bryle Matthew Bacatan, what kind of mechanochemistry are you using with your MOF?...
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: That's fantastic @Kyle Grice !! Glad it seems to be working on the Speedmixer too! Please update to let us know how it optimizes out!!...
- Kyle Grice was just tagged in a comment: Hey @Kyle Grice, just generally curious how the mechanochemistry has been going for you and if you've had any successes?!...
