The ACS Green Chemistry Institute (GCI) is seeking a motivated intern to support our curricular development efforts, helping ensure that high-quality green chemistry teaching materials reach educators and students worldwide.

What you’ll do:
• Research green chemistry principles and laboratory applications
• Review and edit curricular and instructional materials
• Help format documents, slides, and web content for publication

The ISC3 (International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre) is an international center of excellence implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH. The ISC3 promotes the transition of the chemical and related sectors to sustainable chemistry. It advocates for a circular economy that considers the diverse aspects of sustainability at every stage of a product's life cycle and leads to behavioral changes among all stakeholders.

Since 1975, IEC has led Illinois’ environmental movement through five decades of legislative victories in our state’s General Assembly. We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who is eager to contribute to that legacy. An integral member of the communications team, you’ll turn our legislative and policy leadership into engaging digital stories for our affiliates, individual members, and decision-makers.

Description

The selected intern will assist the Green Chemistry Institute and Office of Sustainability by researching the fundamental principles of Green Chemistry and how they are applied in the teaching and research laboratories. The intern will assist with review of curricular materials for publishing and dissemination and facilitate the editorial process to ensure materials meet rigorous standards of accuracy and quality.

The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) scholarship program "ERA Fellowships – Green Hydrogen“ supports German and international Master and PhD students as well as for Postdocs in any topics related to Green Hydrogen.
