Green Chemistry

Assistant Professor of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at Grand Valley State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position to start in Fall 2026. Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field, with an emphasis on green and sustainable chemistry. The department seeks candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to quality undergraduate education and who are interested in teaching green chemistry, organic chemistry, and related courses. Individuals from all backgrounds, including those from underrepresented groups, are encouraged to apply.

Green Chemistry Scientist II

The New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I) is seeking a sustainability driven and research-oriented Green Chemist to support our Green Chemistry and Emerging Contaminants Program. This role is ideal for a chemist or environmental scientist with a strong foundation in green chemistry, environmental health and toxicology, and analytical techniques, who is passionate about applying science to sustainability challenges across New York State industries.

Professor of Chemistry

The Université de Sherbrooke invites applications for a full-time tenure-track professor position in the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Sciences. The ideal candidate will fit within the research theme of the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Crystal Engineering for Green Chemistry and Sustainable Materials, with a focus on applications in organic semiconductors, solar energy storage, and improvements in the properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Assistant/Associate Professor, Chemistry

The Chemistry Department at Worcester State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2026 with a focus on inorganic chemistry. Though all areas of inorganic chemistry will be considered, research focused on biological/bioinorganic, materials, polymers, and/or electrochemistry will be given preference. Previous teaching experience at any level and/or industrial experience are a plus, but not required.

Internship 6 months: Mechanocatalyzed synthesis of health-related molecules, optimized by Artificial Intelligence

The internship, sponsored by a “Chem-IA” fellowship from the University of Montpellier, will aim at developing innovative catalytic solutions to make an amide bond, present in many molecules of interest, by a mechanochemistry/machine learning approach.

The tasks will include (i) carrying organic mechanochemistry experiments in an extruder (ii) developing an algorithm for a Bayesian optimization approach (iii) applying the developed methods to target molecules such as active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Consortium Director, International Green Chemistry Consortium

Yale University seeks an experienced and mission-driven Director to serve as Consortium Director for the newly launched International Green Chemistry Consortium, supported by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. This individual will lead the coordination of a globally distributed network of green chemistry researchers across Yale University (USA), McGill University (Canada), Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (Germany), and the University of Nottingham (UK).
