Oluwatosin Shokunbi

Dr. Shokunbi Oluwatosin is a passionate lecturer and researcher in Environmental Chemistry with over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic mentoring. She holds a PhD in Environmental Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and research funded by the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship was carried out at the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom. Her doctoral research focused on the investigation of microplastics and potentially toxic elements in freshwater systems in Nigeria and Scotland.
She is a lecturer at Babcock University, Nigeria, where she teaches courses in environmental chemistry and analytical methods as well as supervising undergraduate research. Her approach to teaching emphasises critical thinking, hands-on learning, and community engagement. Dr. Shokunbi has over 20 peer-reviewed articles and also a recipient of several awards and fellowships.
