- Matthew Cranswick was just tagged in a comment: I'll get us started! I'm Dr. John De Backere, an Assistant Professor in the Teaching focused stream at the University of Toronto, Canada. I am currently a moderator for this group, so if you have any issues or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me! My background with greener inorganic chemistry began in partnering with Beyond Benign starting in 2020 as a Faculty Fellow where I collaborated with several faculty around North America to develop and curate a collection of greener undergraduate teaching experiments (see here). Since this time, I've been active in developing new inorganic teaching experiments focusing on green and sustainable chemistry (e.g. an open-access published work here with @Matthew Cranswick and @Edward Zovinka ) as well as active in organizing symposia, workshops, and as a forum moderator on this platform! My interests stay centered on developing green undergraduate laboratory experiments, so I'm looking forward to using this space to help brainstorm, workshop, and build new collaborations on this topic especially!...
