Bio

I received a B.S. Chemistry degree from the University of Connecticut in 2000. After 10 years in the polymer industry, I returned to UConn to work as a laboratory technician. I now manage the undergraduate laboratories, the main stockroom, and the department's chemical inventory. During my time at UConn, I also earned an M.S. Polymer Science degree from UConn in 2017, and a certificate in Green Chemistry & Chemical Stewardship from the University of Washington. Green and sustainable chemistry has long been a passion of mine; During my time at UConn, I have worked steadily towards improving the sustainability of our teaching labs. I continue to work on this, and also am looking for new ways to educate the students on the concept of green chemistry.
