Bio

My name is Daniel (Dan) Reddy (he/him/his), and I am a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar in Analytical Chemistry at Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario Canada) and a 2025 CAS Future Leader, as well as a member of the inaugural cohort of 2024 ACS Leader Scholars, a member of the 2024 CAS Future Leaders - Top 100 program, an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (AMRSC), and the recipient of the 2025 Pittcon/ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry Summer Graduate Fellowship. My experience(s) as an international graduate student (Ph.D. Candidate) (Anticipated June 2026) have affirmed the importance of cultural competence, global awareness, and science communication in both the chemical enterprise and my career trajectory.

My research proposes micro-solutions in response to mega-challenges, especially using analytical science to support chemical greenness and sustainability. In service to the chemical community, at a local (Canada-based) level, I founded and previously served as President of the Queen's University International Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society (Q-ACS) (2022-2024). At a national (U.S.-based) level, I presently serve as a Member of the ACS Younger Chemists Committee (YCC), and at an international level, I recently served as the Secretary for the International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN) (2023-24), as well as a current Associate Member of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry's (IUPAC) Committee for Ethics, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and a member of the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect (DEIR) Committee. In addition, I was recently selected as a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s (RSC) Analytical Methods Committee’s (AMS) Expert Working Group (EWG) on Sustainability.
