Cintia Milagre

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2001), a Master's in Chemistry from UNICAMP (2003), and a Doctorate in Science from UNICAMP (2007). I was a collaborating researcher at the IQ at UNICAMP, where I also completed my Post-doctorate (2009). In 2011 I joined the group "Biocatalysis and Organic Chemistry" led by professors Isabel Arends and Roger Sheldon at Delft University of Technology - Netherlands. I am currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry Organic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP in Araraquara, a member of CERSusChem (Center of Excellence for Research in Sustainable Chemistry), My Green Lab Ambassador and IQ-UNESP contact of the Green Chemistry Commitment - Beyond Benign. My research interests are in the area of Organic Chemistry and Biotechnology, with an emphasis on Green Chemistry, Sustainable Chemistry, and Biocatalysis, working mainly on the following topics: enzymatic catalysis for the synthesis of chiral bioactive molecules.
