Bio

My name is Christine, and I recently completed my PhD in Food Science, where my research used synthetic biology to explore the production of food ingredients by engineered microalgae. I am committed to lifelong learning for everyone, as I believe education makes our community stronger. My experience teaching courses, including food science, food chemistry, food microbiology, food product development, and professional development, demonstrated to me that each student has an individual learning journey that reflects their past course experience, long-term goals and individual style of acquiring information. I am committed to helping students reach their academic goals. In addition to academia, I have experience working in Research and Development (Abbott Laboratories), Program Management, and Quality Management (AOCS, a global professional scientific society and non-profit organization).
